Maintaining Original Character with a Fresh Kitchen Update

A kitchen renovation doesn’t have to mean sacrificing the things you love about your home. This project shows how keeping the original character of a space while introducing modern elements can create a kitchen that feels both timeless and refreshed.

The client wanted to preserve the integrity of her vintage cabinets, but was ready to update the aspects she didn’t love in her kitchen anymore. We installed new countertops that provide a sleek, modern update while the updated backsplash was chosen to bring back the 70’s vibe that her old countertops provided. To increase storage and functionality we added custom shelving and updated the flooring with a new tile that brightens the space. Fresh paint completed the room bringing in a lighter, more cohesive feel.
